Fear and fairly tales are the themes of this workshop. The work is rooted in the peculiar pedagogical system developed by the Italian company Teatro del Lemming.
Our research will focus on the relationship between fears and popular tales in our daily life.
For a long time were fairy tales told by adults for adults, only in recent time they have been cleansed of the dark and violent elements and became mostly stories for children. Modern psychology underlines though how old fairy tales relate to the dark side of human kind: they open a dialogue with the „evil“ and propose ways to react to the shadow.
The work consists in physical elements, improvisations in couples and in groups, the construction of a dramaturgy. Participants are invited to choose one fairy tale that they will tell the others during the workshop. This will be the starting point of the research.
According to the „five senses“ method the actor is a guide, who brings the audience elsewhere - that elsewhere which has always been the space of theatre.
Through the exploration of the close and intimate relationship to one’s self, to the others and to the space the actor is brought to unveil in a personal and technical research based on listening and attention.
